Editorial Policy

Last updated: 24 June 2026

This policy sets out how reviews on this site are researched, written, checked and updated. It exists so you can hold us to a standard, and so our writers know exactly what's expected. The short version: claims are tested or sourced, not invented; commercial relationships never touch the editorial line; and every review carries a date so you know how fresh it is.

Sourcing and fact-checking

Casino facts, licence numbers, bonus terms, fees, are verified against the operator's own pages and cross-checked against independent reviews before we publish. Where we describe a hands-on experience, it's a real test, not a paraphrase of marketing copy. Where a detail is uncertain, we flag it rather than guess. The testing method is documented in how we test.

Updates and freshness

Bonus terms and payment policies change, so reviews go stale. We revisit our reviews on a regular cycle and after any major change an operator makes, and we update the verification date when we do. A date on a review isn't decoration: it tells you when a human last checked the facts.

Corrections

We get things wrong sometimes, and when we do we fix them openly rather than quietly editing. If you spot an error, tell us through the contact page and we'll correct it and note the change. Reader corrections are one of our better sources of catches.

Separation of ads and editorial

The people who write reviews don't answer to the people who manage commercial deals. A score is set by the methodology in how we rate, full stop. Our funding model is disclosed in the affiliate disclosure, and reviews are bylined and tested by Hannah Whitfield.
