Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information this site collects, why, how we protect it, and the rights you have over it under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. We are an independent casino review site, not a gambling operator, so we collect far less than a casino would, no account balances, no payment details, no gambling history. The Office of the Privacy Commissioner (privacy.org.nz) oversees how organisations handle personal information in New Zealand.
What we collect
If you email us or use a contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you write to us. Automatically, our servers and analytics log technical data: your IP address (used for rough location and security), browser and device type, the pages you visit, how long you stay, and the site that referred you. We do not collect casino account details, passwords, or payment information, we have no way to, and no reason to.
Why we use it
- To run and improve the site: aggregated analytics show us which reviews are useful so we can write better ones. We use this data in summary form, not to identify you.
- To answer you: if you contact us, we use your details only to reply and follow up.
- For affiliate tracking: when you click a casino link, the operator's affiliate network may set a cookie recording the referral. Details are in our cookie policy and affiliate disclosure.
- For security: to protect the site against spam, bots and attacks.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We use a small number of processors: an analytics provider (for aggregated traffic data), our hosting provider (server logs), and casino affiliate networks (which record click referrals, not your identity). Some of these operate overseas; where they do, we rely on their contractual data-protection commitments. We never pass your details directly to a casino, an operator only receives data if you choose to register with it yourself.
How long we keep it
Contact emails are kept for around 12 months after our last exchange, then deleted. Server logs are held about 90 days for security. Analytics and affiliate cookies expire on their own schedules, listed in our cookie policy. We don't keep personal data longer than we have a reason to.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] and we'll respond within 20 working days. If you're unhappy with how we've handled a request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.
Security and minors
The site runs over an encrypted HTTPS connection, access to any personal data is limited, and admin accounts use strong authentication. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps. This site is for adults aged 18 and over; we don't knowingly collect data from anyone underage, and we'll delete it if we discover we have.
